Is this an app I have to log into?

No. The Data Career Folder is a system plus a set of files you own — delivered as plain Markdown, a Notion template, and a Google Sheets version. There is nothing to log into and nothing to subscribe to. Use the tool you already live in.

I already have a spreadsheet. Why do I need this?

Because a spreadsheet is a place, not a plan. The Data Career Folder gives you the missing pipeline, prep structure, and weekly rhythm — what to do this week, what to prep, who to follow up with — and drops straight into the tools you already have.

Is this only for data analysts?

No. It is built for the whole data family — analysts, data engineers, analytics engineers, and ML folks. The pipeline and rhythm are the same; the prep organizer and portfolio system flex to your role.

Do you store my applications or personal data?

Never. The site is static and asks for nothing. Your folder lives in your own files. And by design it is a career map, not a diary of rejection — keep passwords and ID numbers in a password manager, not in your tracker.
